Cheiridopsis candidissima white flower

Well adapted to local (San Diego), frost-free climate.  Likes sharply drained, lean soil.  Place in part to full sun and protect during extreme heat of late summer.  Winter grower.  No irrigation required, thriving on winter rains alone.  Water sparingly in summer.  When leaves are well shriveled, soak then withhold water for several weeks.  Do not water during the hottest months (late Summer, early Autumn).

Aloinopsis schooneesii

Prefers full to part sun; protect from excessive heat and sun in summer.  Generally grow in spring and autumn when days are warm and nights are cool.  During this time, water frequently and lightly.  Leave dry in summer and winter, especially during hot muggy or cold periods.

Cheiridopsis purpurea Karrachab

These plants grow in winter rain-areas and head for dormancy in summer.  Requires little water, otherwise its epidermis breaks (resulting in unsightly scars). Regular water in autumn through to spring. Water minimally in summer, only when the plant starts shrivelling but it will generally grow even in summer if given water. Requires good drainage. Keep cool and shaded in summer, needs full sun or light shade. Hardy to -2°C (or less)

Argyroderma testiculare

Winter grower. Never soak.  Culture similar to Lithops.  Water in summer.  Overwatering can cause the leaves to split. Argyroderma prefer a well-drained loamy soil; they don’t like frequent repotting and can be grown in relatively small pots for years. They are propagated by seed or division of multi-headed plants.
